ZAZZA Designs
ZAZZA Designs is a lifestyle brand creating bold, East African-inspired picnic blankets, tote bags, and cooler bags — every product starting as a sketch on the founder's iPad. The brand had personality, a growing following, and real demand. What it didn't have was a home. Sales were happening through DMs, payments were fragmented, and every order required manual follow-up. The challenge wasn't just to build a website — it was to build a system that matched the energy of the brand and gave the founder space to focus on what she does best: design and product development.
The approach
The goal: create a structured, brand-led sales system that centralises the business, automates the admin, and gives the founder room to grow.
Bringing the brand online — Built a Shopify store that reflects the colour, personality, and handmade spirit of ZAZZA — so the first impression online feels as alive as the products do in person.
Centralising the sales process — Moved the business off DMs and onto a single platform where customers can discover, browse, and buy without needing to message first.
Unlocking card payments — Set up a payment system that accepts card for the first time, opening up a wider pool of customers beyond cash or mobile money.
Syncing inventory across channels — Configured inventory tracking that works both online and at pop-ups, so stock levels stay accurate no matter where she's selling.
Automating the follow-up — Built out automated order confirmations, abandoned cart recovery, and post-purchase review requests — so the business keeps working even when the founder isn't.
The impact

2.5 Hours
Saved Per Week
🔄 From scattered to automated — Orders, payments, and customer communication now run through a single system — no more manual follow-up, missed messages, or sales falling through the cracks.
💳 Card payments: unlocked — For the first time, ZAZZA can accept card payments — removing friction at checkout and opening the door to a wider pool of customers.
⏰ 2.5 hours saved every week — Time previously spent on manual order confirmations, payment chasing, and review requests is now handled automatically — giving the founder her time back to focus on design and product development.

Key Learnings
A great product deserves a system that matches it.
When the business runs on manual effort, the founder's time gets consumed by admin instead of the work that actually moves things forward. Building the right system doesn't just make selling easier — it gives the founder space to focus on design, product development, and growth.
