Better Living was selling primarily through Instagram, WhatsApp, and in-person channels, and had started working with a developer to build their website — but quickly realized something was missing. The site “worked,” but it didn’t feel right. It didn’t reflect their brand, their story, or the experience they wanted customers to have, and more importantly, it wasn’t designed to support how people actually shop. It was functional, but not thoughtful. They needed more than a developer — they needed someone who could translate their vision into a clear, conversion-focused experience.
The approach
The goal: create a clean, intuitive e-commerce experience that reflects the brand, makes it easy to shop, and gives the team a foundation they can grow with.
Designing for shopping — Simplified the structure and navigation to keep the focus on products, making it easy for users to browse, explore, and purchase without distraction.
Bringing the brand to life — Elevated the experience by incorporating the founder’s story, product context, and visual identity to create a more personal and memorable connection.
Building for growth — Developed a flexible Shopify store that allows the team to easily add products, update content, and expand their offering without needing developer support.
Bridging design and execution — Led the build end-to-end — from design to development, including custom code and payment integration (Pesapal) — ensuring everything worked seamlessly while remaining simple for the team to manage.
